As Asia faces unprecedented demographic transitions alongside climate change impacts, vulnerable populations—including aging communities, migrant workers, and youth in rapidly urbanizing areas—bear disproportionate health burdens. The intersection of demographic shifts, climate pressures, and health system constraints demands innovative, scalable solutions that address both immediate adaptation needs and long-term resilience building. This side meeting brings together the Asia Health Leaders Coalition for Sustainable and Resilient Health Systems to bridge the gap between proven interventions and system-wide transformation.

  • Identify evidence-based strategies for building climate-resilient health systems that serve Asia's demographically diverse and vulnerable populations
  • Showcase innovative financing mechanisms that leverage public-private-philanthropy partnerships to scale climate-health interventions
  • Develop an actionable framework linking demographic transitions with climate adaptation strategies in healthcare delivery
  • Foster commitments from multi-sector stakeholders to advance sustainable healthcare infrastructure and services
