Martin Dale is the Global Digital Health Lead at Population Services International (PSI), where he oversees the design and implementation of PSI’s Digital Health Strategy across more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. His work focuses on supporting governments to strengthen Digital Public Infrastructure for Health (DPI-H), scaling proven digital innovations, and testing emerging technologies such as AI to improve health outcomes. Martin champions the use of digital tools to enhance consumer engagement to improve health literacy and social and behaviour change (SBC), and to strengthen health workforce stewardship, learning, and performance management. He also serves as Board Secretary for the Bay Area Global Health Alliance. Previously, Martin led PSI’s global Monitoring and Evaluation portfolio, driving data transformation and evidence-based performance improvement. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Statistician and Policy Analyst in the UK’s Department for Communities and Local Government, advising ministers on data use for policy design and public service delivery. Martin holds a BSc in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London, and an MSc in Demography from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
