Assist. Prof. Dr. Samrit Srithamrongsawat, MD. PhD.
Dr. Samrit Srithamrongsawat is an instructor at the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. He received his MD from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in 1984, MPH from Mahidol University, Thailand, in 1989, MSc in Health Service Management from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in 1995, and PhD in Health Policy from LSHTM in 2005.
Following his academic training, Dr. Samrit spent his first twelve years working in district and provincial health systems before moving to work at the national level in several organizations in Thailand, including the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), National Health Security Office (NHSO), and Health System Research Institute (HSRI). Since 2016, he has been working at the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital.
He has substantial experience in conducting health policy and system research in the following areas: health insurance systems, healthcare financing, primary health care, community health services, emergency medical services, and community-based Long-Term Care.
