Dr. Swati Mahajan is a distinguished public health leader with over 18 years of experience spanning health systems strengthening, primary healthcare, health security, and climate–health integration. As Director for Health Systems Strengthening and Climate-Health at PATH South Asia, she leads multi-country portfolios across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central-West Asia. She has also served as Senior Climate Change Specialist (Health) with the Asian Development Bank’s Central and West Asia Department, where she played a key role in advancing climate–health assessments, strategic programming, and pipeline development in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Previously, Dr. Mahajan led major national programs at Jhpiego India and the Population Foundation of India, bringing deep expertise in policy advocacy, strategic design, and management of complex, multi-donor initiatives. She is widely recognized for her strategic leadership, ability to forge high-impact partnerships, and sustained contributions to building climate-resilient, equitable health systems.
