Ayako Honda is a Professor at the Research Center for Health Policy and Economics at the Hitotsubashi Institute of Advanced Study, Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan, and has extensive experience in the application of social science in health systems research in Asia and Africa. Her research work explores how different groups of actors interact and respond in the implementation of health policy. She holds a PhD in health economics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
