Dr. Otto Chabikuli, MD, is a seasoned global health expert with over 30 years of experience in clinical services, teaching, research and management across public, private and non-profit sectors. He currently serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Global Health at Howard University, Washington DC, and was formerly FHI 360’s vice president for East and Southern Africa Programs. He has led large-scale programs addressing both communicable and non-communicable diseases, including HIV, TB, nutrition and NCDs in over 18 countries. Dr. Chabikuli has deep insights into health systems challenges and the limitations of service delivery in Africa. Under his leadership, FHI 360 integrated vertical disease control programs into routine facility- and community-level care. He champions evidence generation through research, supports policy development, strengthens provider capacity, updates treatment guidelines, and establishes systems for monitoring, reporting and referrals.
